Kickstart Your Summer Success

Although it’s not officially summer yet, now is the time to take action and plan your summer goals. We’re almost halfway through the year, so let’s take a moment to reflect on our initial goals from January and expand upon them. Whether you’ve already made serious headway on your goals, pivoted along the way, or lost momentum, it’s never too late to reset and reevaluate. By purposely planning and setting intentions early on, you can still enjoy everything summer has to offer. Let’s set ourselves up for success together this summer.
Beat the Summer Slump
As we enjoy the summer festivities, let’s make sure not to fall into the summer slump and lose sight of our goals. Without a strong sense of direction, it’s easy to slip into cruise control and just go through the motions. Set your goals now to stay motivated and productive all season long. Whether you’re looking to take the next level in your career or hit personal milestones, having a clear outline for the summer months will help you stay focused and aligned with your goals. By the end of summer, you’ll feel accomplished that you stuck to the plan and came out on the other side a stronger version of yourself.
Get Clear On Your Goals
Setting goals doesn’t have to be daunting or overwhelming. Start by asking yourself these questions for clarity: How do I want to feel by the end of summer? What do I want to have accomplished? This gives you a basis to frame your goals around and pushes you in the right direction. Your goals don’t have to be elaborate or grandiose either. What matters most is understanding what you truly want to strive for and why it’s meaningful to you.
Structure for Success
After you set your goals, don’t feel pressured to achieve them right away. It takes consistency and time to end up exactly where you want to be. Without structure, it’s easy to hit a plateau and burn out halfway through the summer. The first phase, now to mid-July, focuses on the building blocks and taking action. This is the time to create habits, take on challenges, and push yourself a little more every day. The second phase, mid-July to September, is where you’ll focus on maintaining progress and finishing the summer strong.
Hold Yourself Accountable
When you set goals in advance, you give yourself plenty of time to track your progress and see what’s working and adjust what’s not. Remember, progress isn’t linear – there will be ups and down, but every step has purpose. Celebrate your wins along the way, big and small, to keep your momentum alive. Monitoring your progress along the way will ensure you see your plan to the finish line and keep your end goals front of mind.
You’re not only working towards your summer goals, but you’re planting seeds for the rest of the year. By the end of the summer, you’ll reap the rewards of all of your hard work and feel proud of yourself for getting a head start. Show up for yourself everyday and watch your life transform over the next few months.
