Happy September, kings. September is National Self-Improvement Month, so we’ve got your back with the ultimate guide to up-level your lives. We’re here to help you achieve success in all aspects of your life, from personal to professional. Here’s a guide for you to unlock the best version of yourself:

Self-Care

If you’re not taking care of yourself, then you’re holding yourself back from reaching your full potential. Figure out what self-care looks like for you and incorporate it into your daily routine. A self-care routine doesn’t have to be time-consuming or crazy long – all that matters is that you feel relaxed and refreshed after.

Eliminate Toxic Relationships

Toxic relationships create distress and negativity in our lives. Think about the people you surround yourself with and how they leave you feeling after spending time with them. If someone leaves you feeling emotionally drained, then it’s time to take a step back from the relationship for your mental health. It’s OK to set healthy boundaries for yourself. You’ll thank yourself later.

Plan Ahead

Planning ahead and staying organized allows you to take on your week with a clear mind. Without a solid plan, it’s easy to get lost in the chaos and become overwhelmed. When you already have the steps laid out and a distinct vision, you know exactly what needs to be done and when. Leave the looming dread of deadlines hanging over your head behind.

Disconnect & Unplug

In this day and age, we’re surrounded by technology 24/7 and can easily get lost aimlessly scrolling through social media. Take the time to disconnect from the digital world and live in the present moment. Check your screen time and set realistic goals to decrease it. Maybe you simply stop checking your phone first thing in the morning or turn it off 30 minutes before bed. You’ll find yourself reaching for your phone less and less as you get used to going without it attached to your hip at all times.

Regular Reading

Reading doesn’t have to be boring – pick up a book that interests you for just 10 minutes a day. (This is a great way to reduce screen time too.) Set a time that works for you every day to read, whether it’s first thing in the morning when you’re drinking coffee, on your lunch break, or before bed. Over time, this habit will become ingrained in your routine and you’ll eventually feel more inclined to read for longer periods of time. You’re likely to learn something new and expand your knowledge.

Develop a Growth Mindset

Embrace life’s challenges. Don’t get discouraged when faced with a setback or failure; take it as a learning opportunity and reflect on how you can change the outcome next time. Stay positive when life comes at you with a curve ball and adjust your action plan accordingly. This is how we become resilient men.

Connect with Others

Going through life alone is difficult, especially when there are challenges and obstacles thrown your way. The good news is that you don’t have to go through tumultuous times by yourself – connect with others and build community. There are plenty of men out there who are dedicated to self-improvement and becoming a better man (they might just be at The Kingdom.)

Self-improvement doesn’t happen overnight; it takes consistency, dedication, and time to get to where you want to be. As you accomplish your goals, you’ll create new goals for yourself to strive towards. We’re constantly evolving and changing throughout our self-improvement journey.
